Specify a sliding lid wooden box for your product range

A sliding panel moves along grooves rather than swinging open. Allow space beyond the box for the panel to travel, and decide whether the user should remove it completely. Select the reference model around the contents, not only the outside appearance. A presentation box, a divided organizer and a set of storage boxes need different interior and packing specifications.

Compare plain boxes and presentation formats

The pine sliding-lid box has a 230 × 130 × 60 mm external reference size. Compare the walnut sliding-lid box at 180 × 100 × 50 mm when a different wood and format suit the range. The larger stained pine storage box is listed at 270 × 140 × 80 mm. These are outside measurements, not guaranteed usable space. Send the contents dimensions, insert thickness and removal needs before confirming the final box size.

Choose a divided, clear-lid or event format

The bamboo sliding-lid storage set provides several graduated sizes; confirm the contents of each set. The small pine wedding-favor box uses a printed card lid, so specify that material separately. Approve movement and retention on the finished sample

Check groove fit, finger access and whether the panel can slide out when the package is tilted. Agree any stop or additional retention with the design. Sliding action alone does not make a box flat-packable; knock-down construction needs a separate design. If the lid should remain attached, compare hinged boxes. For a retained removable or hinged lid, review magnetic boxes and approve the opening action on the actual sample.

Record the material and intended contents

Use the wood material guide to prepare the material brief. Record the base, walls and panel separately, including any acrylic, card, lining or insert. Agree colour and grain expectations against a reference sample. Describe wrapped food, sealed inner packs or any intended direct food contact before selecting a finish. Request documents for the exact material, model and intended use where needed; a species name or finish label does not establish coverage.
